Text Box: Come join the fun and be a part of fast pitch softball in the Beaverdam area
with Beaverdam Youth League!
Girls, ages 5 through 16 are encouraged to register and participate in this program. Girls 6U play instructional 
or coach pitch; 8U girls play machine-pitch ball; all other divisions are fast pitch. BYL Girls’ Softball is part 
of the ODGSL (Old Dominion Girls’ Softball League) and Babe Ruth Softball League, Inc.

            Saturday, February 27, 2010!
Registration fees include team shirt, socks, visor, season-end award, team equipment, league fees, & umpire fees. Shorts/pants, shoes/cleats, & softball glove are to be provided by the parents. Personal bat & helmet are optional.
New players to BYL: Each registration MUST be accompanied by a copy of the player’s birth certificate or DMV-issued ID.
All players: The completed Registration & Code of Conduct forms, plus payment must be submitted before a player will be allowed to practice.
Registration fee = $60 for 6U, $85 for all other divisions. Checks made payable to: BYL, Inc. Financial assistance available.

bullet Division age is determined by girl’s age on 12/31/2009.
bullet In accordance with Babe Ruth League, Inc. requirements, all girls who reside within the Beaverdam Elementary School boundaries; plus Caroline County & Louisa County, from Bumpass east to the Hanover County line are eligible to play in Beaverdam.
bullet No evaluations or try-outs…everyone who registers gets to play!
bullet Practice begins in early March, with Opening Day scheduled for April 17th & games continuing through the first weekend in June.
bullet Practices are held at Beaverdam Ruritan Park & will take place 2 evenings a week prior to the start of the season.
bullet During the regular season, 2-3 home & away games are scheduled during the week, including occasional double-headers on Saturdays.
bullet Travel is involved as ODGSL is comprised of 7 associations (Ashland, Beaverdam, New Kent, Bethlehem, Rockville, Sandston & Varina); games will be played both home & away.
bullet Beaverdam Youth League, Inc. is a 100% VOLUNTEER organization. One parent per child will be required to work during home games in the concession stand; your team parent will arrange this time.
bullet NOTE: Each family is required to participate in a softball-specific fundraiser!
